In 1978 we moved to Boise,
Idaho and by 1979 opened the Broadway location there. Then it was
on to Portland, Oregon.

over 30 years ago and we're still passionate about what we're doing!
"We have a signature for being funky in our locations and make a habit of photographing our customers, making them part of the decor. Each location has its own personality. But, it's the product that sells. "It adds something to the pizza to have it hand-thrown and hand-made. We make our pizzas as if we are making them for ourselves. Dupuis, today's owner of the Oregon-based Flying Pie Pizzeria restaurants,
leads his team of pizza throwing experts. Ty is a gold medal winner in the 'fastest pizza making' competition held annually at the Pizza Expo Pizza Olympics in Las Vegas. He can build a pizza in 17 seconds. Baking the pizza - well, that takes a bit longer. Since his ownership of the Flying Pie Pizzeria, Ty has expanded his restaurant at the Portland Stark Street location and opened additional restaurants in Lake Oswego and Greshem. Did we mention the restoration of the Academy Theater? |
